John got his start in web development and online marketing after a two decade career working in commercial and retail bakeries. In his late-thirties, he studied web design and development in between shifts at the bread factory, learning how to build websites.
In 2012, he founded a web development shop, serving clients around the country. In 2017, the business was rechristened Lockedown Design & SEO. Today, John continues to serve clients everywhere, while publishing SEO tips daily on his YouTube channel. He is also a recurring panelist on the WP-Tonic podcast and two-time WordCamp speaker.
