People want to embed YouTube videos on their website, but don’t want competitor videos showing in “Recommended Videos” at the end of the video play.

YouTube changed embeds in 2018, to where you can no longer disable recommended videos from appearing after a video finishes playing.

They want people to keep watching videos as much as possible. Offering more videos after you watch one is a way to increase user engagement.

The problem is, most businesses don’t want to embed a video on their website if it means that competitor videos will be recommended afterwards.

Solution to YouTube Embeds Showing Other Channel’s Videos After Playback

There’s a way to only recommend videos from your channel.

1. Get the embed code for the YouTube video.
2. After the unique identifying characters in the embed code, add ?rel=0.

Embed the video, and you should only see videos from your channel after the video finishes playing.

If your embed code is https://www.youtube.com/embed/abcdefghijk, the new embed code would be https://www.youtube.com/embed/abcdefghijk?rel=0.

Embed YouTube videos w/o competitor videos recommended at the end
